80 year-old Woman in North Burien Shot and Killed

Burien, WA - A shooting death of an 80-year-old woman occurred in North Burien last night just a few blocks east of Cedarhurst Elementary School. It appears to be a drive-by shooting.

We reached out to King County Sheriff's Office. Communications Manager Brandyn Hall responded:

Last night at about 0020 hours King County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 1000 block of S 130 PL in Burien, for a reports of a shooting. Neighbors reported hearing multiple gunshots.

Upon arrival Deputies discovered that several rounds had struck a home. Deputies located a female, in her 80's inside of the home. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Deputies and Medics immediately started life saving measures but unfortunately the female did not survive.

KCSO Major Crimes is still in the initial stages of their investigation, so this is all the information currently available.
