On August 13, journalist Jonathan Choe caught up with King County Executive Dow Constantine, asking how he intended to manage the homeless camp in Burien, located on King County property, next to the Burien District Court.
Constantine gave him a series of answers, which were immediate refuted by Burien Mayor Kevin Schilling. Dow claimed he did not know about the criminal and drug activity in the camp.
According to the mayor, King County has refused to engage or cooperate with Burien regarding the homeless encampment.
