Speakers include:
Location: Starting on the Soccer Mini Pitch at Sylvester Middle School Field, 16222 Sylvester Road SW, Burien
From Highline Schools:
Join us in celebrating the new synthetic field, track, and soccer mini pitch at Sylvester Middle School. The new track and field are part of the 2022 school bond projects approved by local voters.
The mini pitch was made possible through a partnership with the RAVE Foundation, the charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC. A special project within the RAVE Foundation’s "26 Fields by 2026" initiative, it stands out as the only fully fan-funded field among the 26 planned for our region. Every child living near these fields will also receive a soccer ball to encourage play.
After a school assembly on September 6, the community is invited to the official opening at 3:00 p.m., emceed by Sounders FC legend Brad Evans.
Enjoy free food, soccer balls for children, soccer drills, music, and more! This event is free, and we hope to see you there. RSVP to help us plan and receive event updates.
Additionally, a modular restroom has been installed next to the field and mini pitch, thanks to state funding administered by the Department of Commerce. The restroom will open later this fall.
