[Press Release from RASKC on Sept 4, 2024]
Fun games and giveaways mark the final push to "Clear The Shelters" at Regional Animal Services, September 7
Time is running out to adopt a cat or dog for just $30 at Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC). Hundreds of pets have found new homes over the last several weeks during the "Clear The Shelters" campaign. This Saturday, September 7, RASKC will work to completely empty the kennels during the final weekend of the promotion, which officially ends next week.
"Our goal is to run out of adoptable animals," said Dr. Gene Mueller, manager of Regional Animal Services. "If you've been thinking about adding a cat or dog to your home, now's the time - it doesn't get any better than this."
As an extra incentive, RASKC will have a fun booth with a prize wheel for visitors to the Pet Adoption Center on Saturday. People who adopt a pet on that day will also get a free "goodie bag" for their new furry family member, with promotional items from Hills, coupons, and toys (while supplies last).
Adopting a pet from RASKC is always a good value. All pets at RASKC have had an initial veterinary exam, are up to date on their vaccinations, and have been spayed or neutered and microchipped. During the "Clear The Shelters" special, it's just $30 to adopt a cat or dog, which covers the cost of a pet license. See all the benefits that come with a pet license at kingcounty.gov/LicenseMyPet.
The King County Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent. Adoption hours this weekend will be from noon to 4 p.m. both days. Weekday adoption hours are noon to 5 p.m. See all the pets available for adoption at kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet.
