The Highline Public Schools Board of Directors will hold a Regular Board Meeting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. At the end of the Regular Board Meeting, the Board will hold a 60-minute Board Special Meeting: Work Session to Plan for 2024-25 Board Goals. The meetings will take place in the Boardroom at the Central Office Building located at 15675 Ambaum Blvd SW Burien, WA 98166. 8.5 Motion to approve Resolution 12-24, Delegating Authority to KINGCO Conference for Interschool Athletic Activities for the 2024-25 School Year Approval of this motion would approve Resolution 12-24 for the delegation of authority and acceptance of membership to KINGCO Conference, and to appoint the Superintendent or designee to serve on the Board of Directors of KingCo Conference for the 2024-25 school year.
8.6 Motion to approve Resolution No. 13-24, 2024-2029 Capital Facilities Plan and Proposed Impact Fees; Authorization to Submit for School Impact Fees; and Continuation of Exemption of Impact Fees for King County Housing Authority Approval of this motion would adopt Resolution No. 13-24, 2024-2029 Capital Facilities Plan and Proposed Impact Fees; Authorization to Submit for School Impact Fees; and Continuation of Exemption of Impact Fees for King County Housing Authority, to allow the District to collect impact fees from King County and the cities of Burien, Des Moines, Kent, Normandy Park, SeaTac, and Tukwila, and hereby authorize the Superintendent to sign any and all documents to carry out the actions authorized by this resolution.
9.1 Motion to approve Ratification of the 2024-26 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Highline Public Schools and Highline Education Association (HEA) Approval of this motion would approve the negotiated agreement between Highline Education Association and Highline Public Schools, effective September 1, 2024, through August 31, 2026.
9.2 Ratification of the Tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement and Salary Schedule between Highline Public Schools and Teamsters Local 763 representing District Security Staff Approval of this motion would approve the negotiated collective bargaining agreement between Teamsters Local Union No. 763 representing Safety Officers, Safety and Security Officers, Campus Safety Officers, and their substitutes with agreed upon modifications through August 31, 2027.
9.3 Approval of Revisions to Highline School District Salary Schedules for Represented and Non-Represented Staff Approval of this motion would approve the proposed salary schedule changes for represented and non-represented staff.
9.4 Motion to approve Tyee High School Replacement Project – Grant of Easement – Puget Sound Energy Approval of this motion would grant the easement to Puget Sound Energy (PSE) for the Tyee High School Replacement Project.
10.1 Motion to approve revision to Board Policy 2410 – High School Graduation Approval of this motion would approve revisions to Board Policy 2410
10.2 Motion to approve the Annual Renewal Brown & Brown Inc., and Schools Insurance Association of Washington, for District Insurance Coverage Approval of this motion would approve the annual contract renewal with Brown & Brown, Inc. for $527,925.00, and approve the annual contract renewal with Schools Insurance Association of Washington for $5,284,250.00, for a combined total of $5,812,175.00, with minor modifications or adjustments as approved by the Superintendent, for the 2024-25 school year.
10.3 Motion to approve Annual Contracts for McKinney Vento Qualified Student Transportation Approval of this motion approve would approve the 2024-25 school year contract(s) with Everdriven, LLC for $2,000,000.00, and Hop Skip Drive for $3,000,000.00, for a total of $5,000,000.00 in McKinney Vento qualified student transportation, with minor modifications or adjustments as approved by the Superintendent.
10.4 Motion to approve the Annual Contract with First Student for the 2024-25 School Year Approval of this motion would approve the 2024-25 school year contract with First Student for a total of $250,000.00, with minor modifications or adjustments as approved by the Superintendent.
10.5 Motion to approve contract between Northwest Maritime Center and Highline Public Schools Approval of this motion would approve the contract between Northwest Maritime Center and Highline Public Schools in the amount of $321,192.
